Most of our catering is done out-of-house, but we do offer an event hall with limited availability.
When making a reservation, an estimated number of guests is required. A guaranteed number of guests for all events is required seven business days prior to the event. Food is prepared in accordance with the guarantee. If no guarantee is received, we will plan according to the original estimate. We will provide sufficient food for the total number of guests plus 10%. Charlemagne Catering reserves the right to adjust food charges for an event if the final count differs from the estimated count by more than 10%.
A deposit in the amount of 50% of the estimated food cost is required. A final payment must be received no later than 48 hours before your event. In addition, an itemized bill will be emailed for any additional costs to be incurred if necessary: for example, any damages incurred, or the final count being above the guarantee plus 10%. We accept cash, check, credit, or debit cards for payment. When writing a check please make a payment out to Christendom College. All catered events are subject to a 20% service charge, a 4% Virginia State Sales Tax and Warren County Food Tax of 4.0%. Gratuities are not included in your bill, but they are much appreciated.
If an event must be canceled, please notify us seven days before the event. If the event is canceled after this, we will keep a part of the deposit to cover the cost of food which has already been purchased.
Alcohol Beverage Policy
The Commonwealth of Virginia ABC laws regulate alcoholic beverage sales. The minimum age requirement for the consumption of alcoholic beverages in the Commonwealth is 21 years. To ensure the safety of patrons, the staff may refuse service to any guest. The Alcohol Beverage Policy contract can be downloaded from this site: www.abc.virginia.gov. We strongly suggest that if you hold a closed event that you have at least one server who is tip certified. If necessary, we can provide you with one or two depending on the event size.
